The School of Informatics holds friendly and informal open evenings throughout the academic year for computing, library and information science postgraduate degrees. Those with little or no knowledge of our offerings may benefit more than those who have already applied; the purpose of these events is to enable you to make informed decisions about your future study and career. All students who have already applied are welcome to come and visit us outside of open days to ask potential questions. If you would like to arrange such a meeting, please contact the programmes office on +44 (0)20 7040 0248.
It's an opportunity for you to find out more about:
- six month professional internships in industry
- the content of our wide range of professionally-orientated courses
- the impressive support package we offer, including innovative online learning for many modules
- £2,000 scholarships
- and to meet tutors and to discuss queries
In addition to drop in sessions with staff we also run an Information Studies Scheme FAQ event on the evening between 15:15 and 15:45 which those interested in Library Science, Information Science and Information Management in the Cultural Sector may wish to attend in addition to the main event. Please arrive at the event before this time and out staff will be happy to bring you to the session.
