Courses

The CHI Centre offers a wide range of educational and training programmes, catering both for traditional degree course students and for mature professionals. (A further range of MSc courses is offered within other Departments of the School of Informatics).

Masters programmes

MSc in Health Informatics

This course has been adapted to meet the IT needs of the healthcare community at large it covers information science and technology applied to all  health-related and healthcare data. The course is designed for two groups:

PhD/MPhil programmes

The CHI Centre offers opportunities for research training in medical and health informatics and related subjects. Most research is carried out in co-operation with clinical and health care institutions. Research can be carried out either in the CHI Centre, in conjunction with partner clinical groupings, or in the workplace.

Special schemes are available for students wishing to undertake their research primarily outside the UK.

Short Courses

The CHI Centre provides a range of short post-experience courses, meeting the need for professionals updating and introducing new concepts, methods and techniques.

Courses are provided for health care professionals, managers scientist and engineers and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of particular groups.
